Eli Tomac was fighting for the fastest time in Cleveland when he went down hard in the whoops, landing on his shoulder and forcing a red flag as the medics took Tomac away to get looked at once the American legend got back on his feet.
Jason Weigandt has reported on Race Day Live that Eli is being assessed in the medical truck with a sore hip and shoulder. Hopefully there is no major injury!
Tomac lined up for Q2 but, after a couple of minutes, Eli pulled into the mechanics area shaking his head to his mechanic and went back to the pits.
