De Baets Yamaha complete 2024 rider line up – Paturel back as Kooiker signs

The De Baets MX team is proud to present its full line-up for the 2024 season. It was already known that Lotte van Drunen, Tyla van de Poel and Brent van de Walle would ride for the team, but recently Dex Kooiker and Benoit Paturel have also signed the contract.

Kooiker managed to finish third in the EMX85 final in Loket last year and can be seen as a great talent. The Dutchman is making the switch to the 125cc class this year and has recovered well from a shoulder injury, which regularly bothered him last year. He will compete alongside Tyla van de Poel and Brent van de Walle in the EMX125 Championship and will also ride the ADAC 125 Cup and Dutch Masters of Motocross.

Benoit Paturel is coming back to the team. Together they had a very strong season last year and managed to get several top ten results in the MXGP World Championship. After a good conversation, both parties have joined forces and are going for it to make it another successful season. Paturel will mainly focus on riding the MXGP World Championship and will be able to pass on his experience to his younger teammates during these races.
