Confirmed: Jan Pancar creates his own MX2 GP race structure

One rider that’s made a vast improvement over the past couple of years racing the MX2 World Championship is Jan Pancar. However, at the end of the 2021 season after parting ways with Racestore KTM, the Slovenian was on the look out for a new ride for the 2022 season.

Despite having some very good offers, Pancar with the help of a number of sponsors has decided to go down the path of creating his own race structure to contest the MX2 World Championship. The team will be called TEM JP253 and Pancar will stay with KTM machinery.

Pancar isn’t under contract with his new race team so it means if a factory team is looking a fill in rider later in the year that Pancar could be approached.

“After several offers including three serious ones, I decided to create my own private team TEM JP253. This wouldn’t be possible without exceptional support of TEM Čatež, thanks again! And of course, with help of all other sponsors: Tem, Vulkanizerstvo Vovk Boštjan, Dunlop, Akrapovič, Rok Miklič, Arag, Uroš Nastran, Triglav, ECE, Oakley and Amzs”, Pancar told GateDrop.com.

“The offers from other team were good, but when I got exceptional budget support from TEM Čatež I decided it will be easier for me to have my own private team and have more freedom. Maybe I can secure a fill in ride with a very good team later in the season because I’m not under contract”, Pancar concluded.
