Race results: MXGP World Championship RD15 – Coenen wins Lommel


Race One:  Romain Febvre rode a phenomenal moto to keep a charging Lucas Coenen behind him, even repassing the 18 year old with authority to keep the lead – this was the two world title combatants going at it a world title on their minds and Febvre’s determination to not give in gave him the first moto win, what a ride.

Calvin Vlaanderen finally got a by a stubborn Isak Gifting to take third after Herlings had earlier crashed out of third, the Dutch rider took eighth. Jago Geerts was running fifth when he had a huge crash over the bars, luckily he was able to walk away with Fredriksen a superb sixth behind Glenn Coldenhoff on a truly brutal track.

Race Two: Lucas Coenen made amends in race two after he passed Romain Febvre for the lead after a flying Jeffrey Herlings crashed out of the lead! Herlings crashed again while third and finished eighth.
