Cooper Webb will not be racing in Budds Creek after his crash at Unadilla meant aggravating his thumb injury that was just healing up.
Webb said it’s precautionary and he is still planning for SMX: “Sitting out this weekend is not the news I wanted to share, but extremely thankful that the thumb scans all came back good and just show a sprain. Despite the ass kicking, thumb, and gnarly track conditions, I genuinely had a damn good time being back with my team and people at Unadilla.
“Going to play it smart, rest it a few days and focus on SMX and beyond 👊🏽”
Yamaha said: ““The multi-time champion sprained his thumb in a crash during Moto 2 at Unadilla and will reevaluate next weekend for Ironman.”
