Supercross results: Minneapolis

Chase Sexton looked set to take a big win in Minneapolis with Jason Anderson second until Sexton crsshed hard coming out of a turn gifting Jason Anderson a big win as thr championship tightened right up with Tomac 6th.

Tomac suffered a bad start then ran into a wayward Dylan Ferrandis in the whoops on lap one that left the points leader on the deck and fighting from the back of the field. Tomac though stayed calm and didn’t force the issue, making no mistakes to do some good damage limitation.

Cooper Webb took the holeshot then fell back to third and almost fifth with Musquin putting the pressure on but with Stewart crashing out of third on a slick spot plus Sexton’s crash the defending champ found himself back on the podium with Musquin taking a good third and KTM looking better than previous rounds.

Anderson said: “I was really struggling all day. I was riding hard but wasn’t feeling the groove like normal, I had bitten the bullet that Chase was going to win, it was a bummer that he went down.”

Jett Lawrence made a quick pass on holeshot man Austin Forkner to take control of the opening 250 East round and confirm he is the man to beat in what was a fairly static main even with Forkner taking a solid second and McAdoo third.
