Searle, Wilson and Anstie on a tough MXoN
It wasn’t the MXoN that team GB wanted despite their best efforts as everything that could go wrong did! Max Anstie had fuel issues all weekend preventing him from showing his real speed and Tommy Searle went down in race one and then ran out of fuel with two laps to go in race two with Dean Wilson not having the pace he needed in his last outdoor race going 16-20.
Searle: MXON done and dusted! Not the weekend we’d have all liked but I done what I could! I went down hard in the first race in the first turn and got ran over by most of the bikes when I had a ripper start came back to 17th. Second one I was 11th and the last lap ran out of fuel with 2 turns to go which stung a lot. Shit happens It wasn’t Team GBs weekend.. Thanks for all the support throughout 🇬🇧💯
Anstie: Well this years MXON did not go how I thought it would! We ran fuel we aren’t partnered by and had some issues over the weekend that held us back from performing. Was a shame for @teamgbmxon this year.
We know we have our bikes sorted for @wsxchampionship . I’ll see you in Cardiff 🏴 in a couple of weeks 👊🏻🇬🇧
Wilson: It was definitely a challenging weekend. I am definitely stronger in dry conditions compared to what we had today. I had some really bad starts; I felt like I was battling all day. It was just challenging. I am really happy that I did it though, because there is nothing quite like the Motocross of Nations. MXON is a wrap! Wishing the conditions were like this video & my results would have been better😂🤦🏻♂️ Thank you @teamgbmxon for selecting me it’s an honor to represent team GB. Definitely a tough weekend on all the boys. Once it started raining I knew it would be a tough one for me, My starts really sucked then it was just hard coming through the pack in the mud. Anyways Thank you everyone who supported me all weekend even if you were another country. I had a lot of fun. That’s my final MXON🙏😢 Cheers🍻
