Nicholas Lapucci strolled to a stylish win on the Fantic but behind him the battle was intense! Cornelius Toendal rode well to come through to second but it was a battle royal for third between Kevin Horgmo and Håkon Fredriksen with Horgmo finally making the pass stick with a couple of laps to go. Liam Everts started top five but a mistake dropped the Belgian to a frustrating 12th. Maxime Grau deserves a mention for a brilliant fifth place as the young fifteen year old looked tremendous running second for a few laps in his EMX2 debut.
Race two
Nicholas Lapucci made it two wins out of two top open his EMX250 title challenge in style but race two wasn’t as easy as race one! Kevin Horgmo gated better in third and and was by his race one nemesis Fredriksen within two laps and sent his sights on Lapucci.
The duo set lap times that no-one else could match as Horgmo got the gap down to two seconds but Lapucci responded and slowly inched back away after the 15 minute mark to take the win with a 7 second gap. Third place was Emil Weckman who had a superb ride in race two on the Honda ahead of Fredriksen.
Overall it was Toendel in third with Horgmo second and Lapucci on the top step of the podium after a perfect day’s racing.
