Race One: Sacha Coenen was leading the way at the beginning but then had a crash which allowed Guillem Farres into the lead. He had some pressure behind from Mathis Valin who also had pressure from Simon Längenfelder in what was looking like an expecting three way battle for the win but towards the end they spread out.
Camden McLellan didn’t get a good start but rode brilliant and passed Längenfelder for third with a lap to go. Liam Everts rounded out the top five with Janis Reisulis sixth – the Latvian was in fourth but then collided with a backmarker.
Coenen suffered another crash which saw him finish in eighth behind Julius Mikula.
Race Two: It was rookie, Janis Reisulis who grabbed the holeshot and was looking superb at the front of the field. He led until four laps to go when Farres moved into the lead. McLellan was quickly into second and went after his team mate – it was an exciting battle and McLellan nearly made the move but Farres said no – tight racing despite being team mates! It’s Farres’ first ever MX2 GP overall win and he’s right back in the championship chase now.
Valin was able to finish third to secure a GP in front of his home crowd in a superb race.
Längenfelder was in fifth before a crash dropped him down to seventh and behind Coenen!
