Kay de Wolf is set to make his return to the MXGP World Championship action this weekend at the MXGP of Czech Republic in Loket.
The Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing rider has been sidelined since sustaining an ankle injury at the MXGP of Italy in Montevarchi, forcing him to miss several rounds of the championship while focusing on his recovery.
In recent weeks, the Dutch talent has been back on the bike as he stepped up preparations for his comeback, and those efforts have now paid off with confirmation that he will line up behind the gate in Loket.
The Czech GP will provide De Wolf with a valuable opportunity to regain race fitness and intensity before the championship heads to the demanding deep sand of Lommel, where he will no doubt be hoping to challenge for podium finishes once again.
Husqvarna confirmed the news on social media with the following announcement:
“Kay de Wolf is BACK! The #74 returns this weekend in the Czech Republic.”
De Wolf’s return adds another major contender back into the MXGP field as the second half of the 2026 season continues, with fans eager to see how quickly the former world champion can get back up to speed.
