Race results: MX2 World Championship RD2 – De Wolf wins in Spain

Race One: It was Simon Langenfelder who was leading on the first lap on his Factory GasGas machine with Yamaha duo, Thibault Benistant and Rick Elzinga in hot pursuit. It wasn’t perfect starts from Husqvarna’s Kay de Wolf and Lucas Coenen but they got themselves into second and third relatively quickly.

With around ten minutes to go, de Wolf closed on Langenfelder and then made a great pass over the triple to get himself ahead of the German. De Wolf then rode great to pull away as Coenen and Everts caught Langenfelder but that was the way it finished.

Mikkel Haarup had a solid ride for fifth ahead of Andrea Adamo who will be looking for more.

Race Two: It was Sacha Coenen who took the holeshot in the first moto with Andrea Adamo for close company but Kay de Wolf had a great first lap making plenty of moves to get himself into second.

De Wolf would then get to the lead but Adamo was following him through – the Italian then showed his World champion speed by passing the Dutch rider to take a very impressive win. De Wolf then had a tip over and just picked it up ahead of Langenfelder and Coenen who put on the pressure but de Wolf stayed second to take the overall win.

Benistant had a better race for fifth ahead of Everts and the impressive McLellan.
