Race results: MXGP World Championship RD2 – Prado sublime in Spain

Race One: Jorge Prado took the holeshot with Maxime Renaux in behind him who kept it reasonably close for the first couple of laps. The Spaniard then simply pulled away and dominated – what a showing in front of his home crowd!

As Renaux faded, the battle was on for second with Jeffrey Herlings catching Tim Gajser but the Slovenian held on for second.

Febvre also passed for Renaux as he looked to have an issue with his pants – he was pulling them up over the triple every lap!

Glenn Coldenhoff had a solid ride for sixth ahead of Jereymy Seewer and Pauls Jonass.

Race Two: It was on for the second moto as Prado got the holeshot but the heavy hitters were all in the top five. Gajser was second and Febvre third with Herlings quickly passing Vlaanderen for fourth.

It was relatively close for the first part of the race before Prado got a comfortable gap and controlled things at the front. Febvre put pressure on Gajser for most of the race before Gajser pulled away towards the end.

Jorge Prado is looking sublime in current form!
