Jago Geerts rode the perfect race to take the qualifying race win at a gnarly Riola track. The Belgian led every lap but did have some pressure behind as Kay de Wolf and Simon Laegenfelder were keeping him honest. All three put on a show of how to ride the sand – superb to watch!
With two laps to go De Wolf got on Geerts rear wheel but the Factory Yamaha man responded to take the win – he’s so far unbeaten in 2023. His team mate, Thibault Benistant didn’t have the pace to go with the front three but held off Kevin Horgmo for fourth.
