After a global journey, from Australia to MXGP to America, Hunter Lawrence has won his first professional 250 crown, wrapping up the 250 East title at Nashville with a controlled win after an out of control Jordon Smith went off the track, handing Lawrence the lead back and the chance to win his first supercross title in style.
An emotional Hunter, who only needed to finish 20th to take the title, said: “I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can’t say I dreamed of this as a kid, because I didn’t know this was possible. I’m choked up, it means the world.”
