Cooper Webb gave an update on his health after his big crash in Melbourne at the AusXOpen when he got caught up with Matt Moss.
Webb said the following:
“A little banged up for sure but we got checked out yesterday and all good. No real injuries, some whiplash and kind of jammed my thumb from the before, I seem to always land on my dang thumb now! Thought it was maybe shoulder at first but got check out and everything was clear, just muscle stuff, tightness, give it about a week, maybe less, I will try to ride on Thursday, should be good.
“There is always a risk, there is a risk at the Yamaha test track too, every time we are on the motorcycle there is a risk. I am taking a lot of positives from it, I won the first moto and felt great all weekend, so we are healthy and five weeks from A1.”

And on his chances of the supercross title in 2025 Webb said: “I know this year is important for me, I am not getting any younger, I feel I have a real opportunity to win this year. I didn’t want to put myself in a deficit at all, I really wanted to be as strong, as fit and as fast as I could this year and I think we are in a good spot. I have always said, I am hard to beat over 17 rounds. There will be nights where I am sure Jett or Chase will take off and win easily but over a championship I can stay in it.”
