Charlie Cannon made her World Championship debut in Turkey a couple of years ago before securing a full time ride in he paddock last year under the JK Yamaha awning.
For the 2024 season, Cannon decided to return to Australia with good support from Honda Racing Australia which means we haven’t seen her in the MXGP paddock.
The good news is that Cannon will race the final round of the WMX series in Turkey and it’ll be nice to see her in the paddock with the help of the JM Honda team.
The WMX series will also head to Darwin in Australia next year so that’ll be another opportunity for Cannon to be in the MXGP paddock riding with the very best.
Honda Racing Australia posted the following statement:
“Three-time Australian champion Charli Cannon will be competing in the final round of the Women’s World Motocross Championship in Turkey next weekend. Honda Australia, Honda MC, SCT Motorsport SCT Logistics, NT Major Events and MXGP in Darwin have all rallied behind her, providing the support needed to compete against the world’s best”.
“We’re equally thrilled that the women’s championship is coming to Darwin, Australia, next year. We are all proud to support Charli and her international ambitions. Special thanks for the relationship we are sharing with JM Honda Racing to make this happen”.
