Danish talent Nicolai Skovbjerg is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in his career after officially signing with MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing for the 2026 season. The move comes off the back of a hugely encouraging year in EMX250, where Skovbjerg impressed with his consistency and raw speed to secure seventh overall in the standings – an even more notable achievement considering he missed the final round of the championship.
After spending the 2025 campaign with the Wozniak Yamaha squad, Skovbjerg has opted for a fresh environment as he continues his development. MX-Handel Husqvarna has been steadily strengthening its programme, and the addition of the talented Dane signals clear intent for the upcoming season.
For 2026, Skovbjerg’s calendar will revolve around two major championships: the EMX250 series and the ADAC Youngsters Cup. Both are packed with young talent and fierce competition, but they’re also the perfect platforms for riders looking to make that crucial step toward the world championship in the future. With MX-Handel Husqvarna behind him, Skovbjerg will have the structure and support required to fight at the sharp end.
Skovbjerg has shown repeatedly that he has what it takes to run with the best in Europe. The expectation now – from both outside observers and Skovbjerg himself – is to convert that potential into regular podiums and title contention.
Nicolai Skovbjerg:
“I’m really happy to end up at MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing. The bike and all the people around the team is great. I’m really thankful to find a ride where I can do the full EMX250 and ADAC Youngsters Cup series”.
“Financially it’s difficult for all teams and riders, but I believe it’s a great opportunity for me and the team to be working together for the 2026 season. My expectations for myself are high, it’s time to perform and show what I can do. I want to be in the mix for wins and podiums which I know I’m capable of doing once I’m starting at the front. I can’t wait to get going”.
With a motivated rider and a strong structure behind him, all signs point to an exciting 2026 campaign for Skovbjerg and MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing.
