David Luongo confirms desire for US MXGP combo race!

It has been runoured for a while but an MXGP/AMA combination race is still on the bucket list for InFront Moto Racing’s David Luongo but there are still some things to ironed out before it could happen.

Speaking in a great interview on Vital MX’s GP podcast with Lewis Phillips and Adam Wheeler David said: “I think now we found a great collaboration with MX Sports and Feld, the past years we talked together, I would not say monthly but if we need an information or an advice or if we do something or they do something, and we exchange a bit our experiences and what we are doing.

I think the Nations is a fantastic event to be done together and Ironman was mind-blowing from the parade to the to the podium, I think it was it was a fantastic event. Weather was perfect but the organization and the collaboration was good, it’s clear that the the next step could be a USGP.

But as I always repeat, if we do a USGP we need to do it well and we need to do it with them and we need to do it with the mix of the riders in the GP class and the way to make the riding in a mix to class with with their 250 program so on that we need to work on rules an exception for this particular event. It’s a dream aa kid for me it was already the dream of my father before I think it’s the dream of every fan onward to see this confrontation.

“Because with Nations you will limit the number of rider to three per team, with an event like that you will you will really have the 20 top guys of the GP against the 20 top guys of the US, so you will have like we say in French the creme de la creme, it will really be something unique.

It certainly would be the biggest race of the year in dirt bike racing, let’s hope it cam come to fruition sooner than later!
