It didn’t take Eli Tomac long at all to adjust to the KTM as he came out on top on his debut ride after a 1-2-1 scores against a rapid Ken Roczen. It was a performance that ends the doubts about his adjustment to the steel frame and he should only get better from here!

Count Eli Tomac in as a title contender for 2026 AMA supercross if he performs in America like he did in Vancouver…see his last moto holeshot below courtesy of WSX:

Speaking to Donn Maeda, Eli said on his impressive performance: “Sweet night for the Red Bull KTM crew, so it was good. Didn’t come without some tough competition though, Kenny was fast, was battling with Jason and Justin in those other two motos. The track had a little bit of everything.

“I was most happy about it that I was able to hang on to it and that’s such a hard thing to know when you’re out of practice track is getting through those race scenarios, how rideable is the bike and it was excellent tonight so man we’re off to a sweet start.

“It was just an overall really nice weekend, there was no fire drills, I would say the motorcycle translated really really good from our testing so far. I was able to hang on to it, it’s good. It was some good racing and yeah, just for a first race, you don’t know what’s coming, so this is a good start We did click around here and there a little bit but for the most part, it’s like we weren’t searching for a whole lot. This is a good package.
