Cole Davies out of AusX Open

Cole Davies has been forced to withdraw from competing at the AusX Open due to still recovering from surgery from his UCL thumb injury sustained at SMX in September.

It raises questions if the Kiwi kid will have the time to be healthy to race West again or if he will be forced to go East and join Jo Shimoda and potentially Haiden Deegan for a rematch of 2025 only on the opposite coast.

AusXOpen said on social media: “Cole Davies has been ruled out of the 2025 BOOST Mobile AUSX Open due to injury.

“Following surgery to repair his thumb injury sustained in Charlotte, Cole made an attempt to return to riding but continued to experience significant pain and swelling.

“After further evaluation, he has been declared unfit to race and will not return to a competitive level in time for the event.”
