Haiden Deegan on boxing with Jake Paul

Haiden Deegan is a bit marmite in the sport but there is no doubt he is bringing a lot of eyes to dirt bike and he did his part in expanding the sport’s reach by doing a photo shoot and some boxing with influencer turned boxer, Jake Paul.

Deegan said of the meeting in the SMX pre-race press conference at St. Louis: “It’s cool, my new hobby is boxing so he has kind of taken over that sport with eyes. He invited me out and we did some boxing and stuff so that was cool. Anytime you get a big name like that from a different sport or a different scene, you are growing the sport and the fanbase around you, it’s huge.

On boxing Deegan said it wasn’t for cross-trainging purposes: “I want to be good at fighting, you never know what is going to go down! That’s been my hobby, learning how to box good. Jake is a bad-ass at boxing. I know everyone has their made up theories about him on social media and stuff but the dude trains his ass off and is a gnarly boxer. When you are in there with him, and doing his drills and stuff it is the real deal.”
