Race One: Jett Lawrence took the win but it wasn’t easy after Jett passed Plessinger and Hunter at once to take the lead on lap one but he could never break away from Plessinger, Hunter or Eli Tomac. Plessinger even passed Jett with four laps to go but Jett passed him back a lap later and did enough, as he always does, to take the win as Hunter crashed on the last lap giving Tomac third.

Race Two: We all got the race we wanted with Jett Lawrence v Eli Tomac going at it for the win, but yet again it was Jett Lawrence who did what he had to do, pushing the pace so high that only Eli could match him and then even Eli couldn’t keep the pace, after he tucked the front with a couple of laps to go trying to find that little bit extra to pass and beat Jett Lawrence. The Aussie kid is simply a genius, whatever the situation he has the intelligence, calmness and the skill to outsmart and outride everyone even someone as experienced and fast as Eli Tomac.

Meanwhile it was a disaster for Kawasaki, with Prado struggling again in eighth and Guillod just behind him, Prado DNf’d due to a bike issue and, on the same lap, so did his teammate Jason Anderson!
Lawrence said: “It was like a combination of working hard and being patient. Just tried not making many mistakes, this track can bite pretty quick. I could hear Eli was right there then i heard the crowd go, ‘ohhh,’ and I knew something happnend.”
Tomac said: “We had our spots on the track to gain time lose time, that spot I crashed I would gain bike lengths, I went out in a cloud of flames.”
