It was the worst case scenario for Hunter Lawrence in moto two despite a holeshot after Jett Lawrence then a flying Jorge Prado went by with Deegan right there in fourth.
Hunter wss pushing hard to stay with the front two when he went down big time and was forced to DNF…handing the red plate to Jett Lawrence with four motos to go and a ten point deficit for Hunter to reel in, in a situation very reminiscent of Supercross earlier this year.
Even Jett, who straight away asked if Hunter was okay ( he was) when he got off the bike after winning the moto, said: “I’m bummed you know? I don’t want to do it like this, hopefully he can rebound.”
