Reece Jones plans have been confirmed for the 2025 season and he’ll be making the step up to compete in the British MX2 class in what will be his rookie season in the class.
A new team on the block, SAS TPC KTM Racing have snapped up Jones and see the potential he has for the future.
Jones has actually already made his debut with the team by racing the tough Weston Beach race and he did superb finishing in eighth – one spot behind Justin Barcia.
At the moment the plan is just to focus on domestic racing but fingers crossed he may do selected EMX250 races.
Reece Jones:
For me getting signed by the SAS TPC KTM race team is a great opportunity for me to grow and grow in the Motocross community. For me I’m going into 2025 knowing I’m turning pro in the pro MX2 class and going straight into the deep end at Hawkstone International with all different kind off riders but if I have a good race there it will boost up my confidence and show where I am for the season. After having a great first weekend with the team at Weston I am really confident in my self going into the 2025 race season. Let’s get the winter training underway and see where we can end up at the end of the season.

Drew Smith & Adam Spratt (team owners):
SAS TPC KTM are delighted to make the signing of Reece Jones for the pro mx2 MXGB calendar. The team had their eyes on Reece all season keeping a close eye on him. When we had the chance to speak to Reece and his father Lanny Jones, it took us a 45 minute meeting in Birmingham and the deal was done. We released Reece on the Friday at Weston and we won the Saturday in the youth race and went eighth in the solo class, one place behind Justin Barcia. We were over the moon on the first outing together and we can’t wait to get the season under way. We’re here to show what we all can do as we’re a new team. Having the right riders is great for us and we’re backing Reece the whole way.
