With Chance Hymas out of SMX and in a race to be fit for the MXoN, Haiden Deegan was asked by Jase McAlpine in the press conference if he would reconsider his MXoN situation and go if he was really needed…
Deegan said in response: “I think if it was an option, and Chance was out, I would already said I would have went before they chose Chance, because they were going to pick me. There are things that need to be fixed personally. Once those are fixed we look forward to next year. Things need to heal, just like Chance, he keeps riding and aggravating this knee or whatever. There are so many things each rider deals with, it’s a lot more going on behind the scenes that everybody sees, right now, I wouldn’t go. I think Levi is an option but I don’t think Kawasaki would let him go. I don’t know, it is hard, RJ just crashed, I’m not exactly sure.”
