Tomac injured as Sexton essentially crowned 450 supercross champ!

On the night that Jett Lawrence won the 250 East title, Chase Sexton was essentuially crowned 450 supercross champion after Eli Tomac got injured while leading and didn’t even crash!

The Star Yamaha rider over extended his foot on a landing just slightly and immediately rode off the medic truck with his team manager Jeremy Coker confirming he had torn his achilles and is out for the year!

So, Tomac has not only missed out on a virtually sewn up supercross title but outdoors as well and maybe any chance of a face-off with Jeffrey Herlings at the MXoN! A huge blow for a legendary rider, if this us how he leaves the sport. What a shame.

But for Chase Sexton, being there every week has paid off as he came through the pack to win the race with Roczen coming from last to second.
