Race results: EMX250 RD4 – Valk wins in Spain

Race One: The opening EMX250 race provided some good racing with Andrea Bonacorsi getting to the front pretty quickly. It looked like the Italian would pull away and dominate but Marc-Antoine Rossi had other ideas despite not getting the best start. The French talent made passes and despite being over three seconds behind caught Bonacorsi. With three laps to go he was all over the Italian and then passed him but then on the last lap crashed which cost him such an impressive win. Cas Valk finished a distant third ahead of Ferruccio Zanchi and Kay Karssemakers. Valerio Lata didn’t start after picking up a knee injury in Portugal.

Race Two: Conditions were totally different for the second moto after the track was heavily ripped and watered, it was very slippery and slower than the opening race with throttle control important. Dutch talent, Cas Valk grabbed the holeshot and clearly preferred the slippery conditions as he never looked back to take the win. Karssemakers had a better ride on his BT Husqvarna as well passing Reisulis late in the race for second to earn third overall. Andrea Bonacorsi was locked in a battle with Maxime Grau before crashing and having to come back up to sixth passing Rossi on the last lap but still secured second overall extending his points lead in the championship.
