Rumour: Simon Längenfelder heading to Lugo with the intention of racing?

Young German talent, Simon Längenfelder was right in the MX2 championship hunt but during the mud race in Agueda, had what looked like a small tip over. However, the small crash has resulted in a broken collarbone.

Längenfelder had surgery on Monday to get a plate inserted but we believe that Längenfelder will head to Lugo, Spain for round six of the MX2 World Championship to at least attempt to race.

Credit to MX1onboard who were first with the story but we have checked with our sources and they have confirmed he’ll try to race.

With a two day format it is not going to be easy, if Längenfelder rides and races the qualifying moto on Saturday it will be six days after breaking his collarbone – quite unbelievable!

More news on the German’s situation as and when we get it.
