It was announced back in July that Triumph Racing would be in the German paddock for the 2025 season as the newly formed Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing team will be contesting the ADAC Youngsters Cup next year.

The new team will be led by Niklas Raths, a successful former motocross and supercross rider who has dedicated himself to team building and promoting young talent after his active career. With his passion and professionalism, Raths brought his former Raths Motorsports team to numerous successes, including Guillem Farres winning the ADAC Youngsters Cup in 2022.

Christoph Büchl is at the side of the new team, having been the sales manager of the Dörr Group’s first two-wheeler brand, Triumph Munich, since April 2023. Büchl started motocross at the age of five and was racing shortly afterwards. He has also been working successfully in the motorcycle industry for the past 15 years. He brings with him a wealth of experience and deep roots in the scene.

We understand that Scott Smulders who has been with the KMP Honda team the past few years will be parting ways with that team to join the Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing team. The young Dutch talent is actually gearing up to travel to America to race the Mini O’s event which will run from November the 23rd to the 30th. After racing in America he’ll then return to Europe and start preparing for the 2025 season on the Triumph.

The full focus will be on the ADAC Youngsters Cup for Smulders and the team. The team are also thought to be on the look out for a second rider but it remains to be seen who will join Smulders under the awning.

This year Triumph had their first season in the sport contesting the MX2 World Championship so it’ll be nice to see the new bike also contest National championships in 2025 as well as selected EMX events.
