Results: Anaheim 2 – Sexton on top!
Self-inflicted adversity by Eli Tomac ended his chances of winning the opening three rounds in the final moto of the triple crown as he bit the dust trying to pass Webb for third!

Tomac, Roczen, Sexton and Anderson were all within a point going into a winner takes all final moto. But it was Sexton that got it done when it mattered after Tomac cut Roczen off out of the gate. Roczen would still take third overall after Tomac’s crash demoted him to sixth overall and opening the title chase for his rivals.
Sexton, now just four points back of Tomac, said: “Super big night for me, I needed to stop the bleeding. I felt so good it was awesome racing these guys. This is my second win in supercross, it’s a great feeling.”
The 250 class also provided drama as Jett Lawrence went down in the first two main events to allow Levi Kitchen to take his first overall win in his career as RJ Hampshire threw away his chance of victim after winning the opening moto with more big crashes. Cameron McAdoo fought hard for a top ten after that big crash in the whoops and took over second in the points.
