Francesco Assini was under pressure from Tim Lopes the whole first race but the young Italian is already good at dealing from pressure – he held on to take an impressive race win! Kenzo Jaspers rode well to take third on the last lap from Teunis Spijkerman. Loan Torro was in third and catching the leaders before a crash demoting him back to fifth. Harry Dale was outside the top twenty-five on the first lap but came back to thirteenth.
The second moto was all about Harry Dale after he took the holeshot he pulled away to run away at the front – it’s nice to see a young British talent win at EMX level again! However, in the race for the title, Lopes was sitting pretty in second and looked to have the overall in the bag but then on the last lap he dropped it! He fell back to third and with Assini who took a bad start in fourth, it gifted the Italian the championship in dramatic fashion.
