Race results: EMX250 RD3 – Bonacorsi tops Agueda

Race One: Andrea Bonacorsi didn’t get the best of starts but worked his way into the lead on the opening lap passing Ferruccio Zanchi. Kay Karssemakers was riding with a lot of flow in the first couple of laps passing Zanchi for second and it looked like he could go with Bonacorsi. Zanchi had other ideas though as he re-passed the Dutch talent to take an impressive second. Despite riding with a shoulder injury, Quentin Prugnieres rode brilliant to take fourth ahead of Samuel Nilsson. Gerard Congost was in a battle for the top five before a crash and colliding with Alexis Fueri seen him pick up an unfortunate DNF. Marc-Antoine Rossi got tagged down the start straight seeing him go down but he came from last to eleventh – he is fast. Valerio Lata didn’t ride like his usual self finishing down in tenth.

Race Two: The second moto provided much better racing between Kay Karssemakers, Karlis Reisulis, Marc-Antoine Rossi and Andrea Bonacorsi banging bars. Reisulis held the early lead before Karssemakers made a move. Rossi was eager to move forward as well and put in an aggressive pass on Bonacorsi for third. The French talent then passed Reisulis and Karssemakers to get himself into the lead and take a very impressive win. Bonacorsi was riding without a clutch but it didn’t show as he got back to third and was right on Karssemakers’ rear wheel for second at the finish line. Zanchi ended up third overall with a solid 2-6.
