In the first qualifying group, Francesco Bellei set the pace over Aron Katona with Cole McCullough third. It wasn’t good for Levi Townley as he had a crash and then got stretchered away.
Nicky Mannini was fourth fastest with Gennaro Utech rounding out the top five.
In group two, it was Faure setting the pace again but there was very little in it between him and Alvisi.
Heitink was third fastest over Mantovani with Oppliger rounding out the top five.
