Levi Townley injured

Levi Townley suffered a crash after the finish line jump in Arco during free practice and, unfortunately, the MJC Yamaha rider had to be stretchered off with what appeared to be a leg injury. We checked in with the team this morning who confirmed that it looks to be a broken leg for the young Kiwi talent.

Townley had been impressing in his first season in Europe, showing speed in the deep sand at Arco, and, at the time of the crash he was running sixth fastest in the group 2 of the highly competitive EMX125 class.

We will report more news as we get it, but wish Levi a speedy recovery, this kid is super talented and has a very bright future!

We had caught up with dad Ben on Friday to get his thoughts on being back in Europe and his assessment of how Levi was adjusting to a different world and a ferociously competitive EMX125 series.
