Jorge Prado took another holeshot and took a start to finish victory in the MXGP qualifying race win. Romain Febvre was riding well but then made a mistake dropping him back to fourth, he was able to catch Seewer for second but just couldn’t make a pass on the Swiss rider.
Tim Gajser on his return rode a consistent race for sixth ahead of Calvin Vlaanderen.
