Prado ready for Russia

Jorge Prado is coming into Russia for the opening MXGP of the year confident after getting a full off-season to prepare himself and a revised KTM machine for the 2021 season.

Speaking to Paul Malin on the MXGP TV studio show the two-time world champ said: “Last year was so bad. After injury I couldn’t get prepared for the season but this year it was a good pre-season, I could train a lot on the bike and physically, so I am ready to start racing.

“KTM always try to bring new stuff every year trying to improve the bike as we improve ourselves off the bike. For sure it’s a better bike this year, I feel like I could make a very good set-up for myself. Last year I didn’t have any time for testing, this year we work very hard for team and we have a very good set-up, hopefully we can show it again this weekend.

“(It) would be awesome to start the season like that going 1-1 (like MX2). I think we come quite prepared this year, a lot of time on the bike and physically. It’s a nice track, I like it. Let’s enjoy the weekend. Coming into this season I think we can be up top, that’s what we work for.”
