On the first lap of the first moto it was Gerard Congost and Billy Askew battling for the lead before the young Brit took a crash and ended up with a DNF. Marc-Antoine Rossi got himself to the front and simply dominated in the wet conditions. Samuel Nilsson recovered to second after a bad start. Ferruccio Zanchi also got a bad start but got back to fourth. After a crash, Bobby Bruce recovered to tenth.
In the second moto, Askew got a good start but then went down around the first corner causing a pile up. Zanchi was involved leaving them both with plenty of work to do.
At the front, Rossi was out in front riding superb on his GasGas in slightly drier conditions. Bobby Bruce looked to have fourth in the bag but then Zanchi passed him on the last lap. Askew recovered back to eighth after the first corner crash.
