Conrad Mewse won his third British title with 2-1 scorecard at a wet Whitby with the super talented Brit still taking the title with a round to go despite a mid-season injury.
A delighted Mewse said: “It’s awesome so nice to wrap it up. Not the way I wanted to win it in the last moto but a really consistent race, I didn’t make any mistakes and we brought it home for the title for the third time so over the moon. Cannot thank everyone enough who has got behind me.” While acknowledging his shoulder injury halfway through the year, “was a difficult time.”
With Mewse ageing out of MX2 in Grand Prix next year and already on an 450 at world level, it remains to be seen what his plans are in 2023 and if he will move up to the 450 in his National series.
