Louis Vosters and Roan van de Moosdijk’s agent comment on Fantic split

There was a shock statement from the MXGP paddock as Fantic announced they agreed to part company with MXGP rookie, Roan van de Moosdijk despite the Dutch talent only having one race with the team.

Van de Moosdijk only raced Hawkstone International for the team where he twisted his knee and it ruled him out of the MXGP opener. However, we believe he will be ready to be back on a bike shortly.

Dutch media, Omroep Brabant have reached out to both camps to get both sides of the story.

Team owner, Louis Vosters stated the following on the split:

“Difference of opinion. We do not meet each other’s expectations. The situation had become unworkable and in extreme form. The boy has himself to blame. And I am not going to say more about it”.

Van de Moosdijk’s camp disagree with Vosters version of events, as his agent, Ebert Dollevoet stated the following:

“There is no mutual approval. Everything is now up to the lawyer and we therefore cannot say much about the content. But Roan and I recognize absolutely nothing in his story”.

“All these months they have only said that he is a great boy and the best they have. It is still a huge surprise and disappointment for us. A bolt from the blue. Fortunately, we receive many messages of support from all over the world”.

It’s a shame that it didn’t work out for either party and things have got messy but hopefully both can move on from the difficult situation.
