Last weekend, Brent van Doninck crashed in the MXGP qualifying race on the second corner and broke his femur.
Since then, things have gone from bad to worse which you can read about here.
The good news is that van Doninck has now had the operation required – six days after his crash!
Still in Argentina, now that he has had the operation, he will travel back to Belgium in a few days to put this nightmare behind him and start to focus on his full recovery.
The JM Honda team posted the following update:

Brent has had a surgery today (Friday) at 12:30 local time in Buenos Aires. (16:30 CET)
Everybody in the team is working hard to get Brent to Belgium ASAP!
