After an eleventh place in qualifying, Liam already showed he was comfortable on the challenging track in Saturday’s qualifying race with seventh place.

In the first race on Sunday at lunchtime, the young Belgian showed a terrific recovery and fought his way forward from 23rd place, lap after lap, and finally saw the chequered flag in sixth place.

In the second race, Liam Everts was first through the first corner for the first time in his career and secured his first holeshot. However, Liam had to relinquish the lead on the first lap and was able to hold on to second place for the first few laps. On lap six, Liam Everts dropped back to fourth place, which he defended until the end of the race.

With places six and four, Liam missed his first MX2 Grand Prix podium by one point and took an excellent fourth place in the day’s standings.

Liam Everts: “On Saturday we found a good setup for the bike and I felt very comfortable on the challenging track. Sunday was just outstanding for me. I was able to keep up with the top athletes in MX2 and achieve my career-best result with 4th place. We were able to make some steps forward again and that’s what we are working for.”

The next race for DIGA Procross KTM Racing will take place on 05 June in Ernee, France.
