Jago Geerts ruled out of MX2 opening round?

Jago Geerts crashed out of the second MX2 race during the opening round of the French Elite series at Ernee. The talented Belgian decided to pull out of the race to avoid risk of further injury.

However, it looks like it’s bad news for the MX2 championship contender as Belgian media have reported Geerts won’t race the opening round of the MX2 World series this weekend at Russia as he tore a cruciate ligament in his knee.

The injury will rule Geerts out of at least the opening round of the MX2 World Championship at Russia with his return date not yet known.
