Irish Sidecar GP – tickets on sale!

The North Armagh Motorcycle and Car Club are delighted to announce that online ticket sales are now live for sale at sidecarcrossgpni.com with Early Bird offers and other concessions. 

Facilities at the circuit for the weekend will be many and varied with food, drink and attractions for kids on site thanks to McBride family and hospitality team, and an FIM Environmental Officer will be in attendance all weekend to ensure minimal noise disruption, proper waste disposal and collection is up to environmental standards. 

With event partner Hinch Distillery less than two miles away with their award-winning whiskey’s, gins, wines Site Tours state of the art visitor centre and of course, a world class restaurant serving food all day, it’s well worth a visit on the way to or from the circuit.

The weekend kicks off on Friday 21st July morning with 30-minute practice and timed qualification with two qualifying 20 minute + 2 laps races to decide who gets into the Grand Prix, followed by a last chance timed 30-minute session for the remaining two available places on the start gate.

Quadcross competitors get practice and timed sessions on Friday to determine their gate pick, or starting position for their two races on Saturday.

Saturday 22nd July starts with 30-minute warm up sessions for Quads and Sidecars followed by two 30 minute plus 2 lap Grand Prix motos for the Sidecars, and two 25 minute + 2 lap Championship races for the Quads.

We as a Club are intensely proud of our heritage also, and the desire to promote the province and local business is high on our priorities, and also to ensure this is an entertaining day out for families.

The event will be broadcast worldwide to over 360 million households, including BT Sport & Viaplay in the UK and Ireland ensuring worldwide coverage for sponsors, partners and Northern Ireland.

With the first two Grands Prix from Spain & Portugal in the record books, the Championship is led by ex World Champion the exciting young Belgian Marvin Vanluchene with French passenger Nicolas Musset on 100 points, but the big news for locals is that British Crew Brett Wilkinson and Joe Millard are second on 78, with three Dutch drivers youngster Koen Hermans and Ben van den Bogart on 66, Justin Keuben and Dion Reitman are tied on 66 with 2022 World Champ Etienne Bax with Czech passenger Ondrej Cermak, so exciting racing ahead with the next GP in Kramolin Czechia over the weekend of 6 th/7th May.

Local crew Gary Moulds with Lewis Gray onboard have had an unlucky start to the season, with a crash in the Spanish GP injuring Gary’s back, leaving him a non-starter in Portugal despite his valiant efforts in practice, however, he lies 21st so far.
