It’s been and up and down season for defending world champ Andrea Adamo, who hasn’t been able to bring his usual consistency to the MX2 this season despite some good rides along the way! And now, after two big crashes at Loket, the world champ has been forced to sit out the GP at Lommel in a bid to be fully fit for the next round of the series.

“My conditions is okay, I had one big cut on the side of my chest,” Adamo explained to us. “I did everything to be ready for the GP but just the time was a little bit too short. The cut was big, deep and quite painful and swollen. It was a little bit on the limit to ride this GP. With the team we took a decision to sit out… at a GP like this one you have to 100% otherwise it’s too tough… even at 100% it’s tough!”
