Tragic news came out from the Irish Motocross scene recently as Melanie Griffith, was paralyzed in a crash. A GoFundMe page has been set up for Mel and her family with the big changes that will need to happen to make things a little easier for Mel.

“I knew it was a risk every single time I threw my leg over that bike but is it still sh*t to hear the words your paralyzed. I shattered my T12 and the shards done damage to my spinal cord and I have broken ribs as well which are actually causing me the most pain at the moment. Thank you everyone so much for all your messages and all the support it has actually been overwhelming and I can’t put into words how grateful I am. I had a good 12 years of racing but it would have been nice to stay going since I think I was reaching my fastest ever”, Griffith recently stated on her serious injury.
