MARIETTA, Ga. – May 23, 2025 – The Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing 250 team is primed for another title run as the Pro Motocross season kicks off this Memorial Day Weekend at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, on May 25. Lining up for the opening round, and the 18th round of the SuperMotocross World Championship, are the newly crowned 250SX West Champion and reigning 250MX Champion Haiden Deegan, two-time 250MX Champion Jeremy Martin, Nate Thrasher, and Michael Mosiman.
Fresh off a stellar 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season, Deegan looks to carry that momentum outdoors. The 19-year-old secured his fourth professional title a weekend early and finished the indoor season with a dominant victory in the Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Showdown. It was another standout title run for the young rider from Temecula, California, who scored four wins and made nine trips to the podium. Deegan kicks off his 250MX title defense this weekend in front of the home crowd at Fox Raceway, where he earned his first 250MX podium in 2023 and won both motos for a convincing overall victory in 2024.
Martin makes his 2025 debut with the team and is eager to return to racing aboard the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing YZ250F. The rider from Millville, Minnesota, is another championship-proven rider with an already impressive resume outdoors. In addition to his back-to-back titles earned with the team in 2014 and 2015, Martin has a career total of 20 250MX wins thus far and looks to kick off the season in style this weekend in Southern California.
Thrasher is also looking forward to launching his 2025 Pro Motocross campaign. It was a rollercoaster supercross season for the Tennessee rider, but he showed strength despite adversity. Thrasher earned his sixth-career 250SX win at Birmingham Supercross and made two trips to the podium, ending the season fourth in the 250SX East standings. Looking forward to a clean slate with Round 1, he looks to come out swinging outdoors.
Making his 250MX debut with the team is Mosiman. Unfortunately, the Northern Californian was sidelined last year with an injury, but is back healthy and looking forward to lining up for The Great Outdoors. During the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season, Mosiman continued to make forward strides, earning a podium finish and battling with the front runners. He looks to continue that forward momentum and fight for top honors in Pro Motocross.
Max Anstie, who was injured during qualifying at Birmingham Supercross, was working to return to action for the start of the Pro Motocross season. Despite his best efforts, the British rider will need to undergo surgery to repair his broken Fibula. Pierce Brown, Daxton Bennick, and Cole Davies, who were also injured during the indoor season, continue to work on returning to full fitness and look to come back as soon as possible. An update on the riders’ return will follow at a later date.
