Official: Cult JPR KTM announce 2027 Arenacross squad – Walsh in

Following the team’s appearance at the final round of the 2026 Motul ACU British Motocross Championship at Blaxhall, Cult JPR KTM are proud to announce their debut in the 2027 Arenacross UK series, backed by KTM UK, with world-renowned motocross and Supercross competitor Dylan Walsh joining Jake Preston and John Slade to form a three-rider line-up for the upcoming season.

Leading the team’s charge into Arenacross is Dylan Walsh. The former British Motocross Champion has gained respect around the world for his indoor racing abilities, qualifying for 15 AMA Supercross Main Events during his career and most recently battling down under in the Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship. Making his UK Arenacross debut in 2027, Walsh will steer a KTM 450 SX-F with his sights set on battling for the title across the six-round series.

Joining Walsh is experienced Supercross and Arenacross rider Jake Preston. From the Arenacross series to the Indian Supercross Racing League and France’s SX Tour, Preston’s wealth of racing experience will be an important asset to the team as they make their debut in the 2027 series. Having most recently competed in the Arenacross series earlier this year, finishing 11th overall, Preston will be looking to improve on that result in 2027 and fight his way into the top ten, racing a KTM 450 SX-F for the upcoming season.

Rounding out the rider line-up is one of the UK’s brightest up-and-coming talents, John Slade. Coming into the 2027 season as defending champion in the Supermini class, Slade will race aboard a KTM 85 SX as he looks to defend his crown. Having won three consecutive Arenacross titles, one in the 65 class followed by two in Supermini, as well as a Portuguese Supercross title during his young career, Slade has already established himself as one of Europe’s top indoor talents. The team is excited to work with him heading into the 2027 campaign.

Dylan Walsh – AX Pro Class: “I can’t wait to get back behind the gate in Britain! It’s my first time racing the series, which I’m excited about. The Cult JPR team have given me a great opportunity to race and be part of a great team. The crowds always look packed, there’s a lot of hype around the series, and I just cannot wait to get the season underway in Birmingham.”

Jake Preston – AX Pro Class: “Coming into 2027 and having Cult Moto on board is huge for the team as well as a rider for myself! I’m excited to start this new chapter as we continue to build the team and grow into real title contenders. As always I cannot wait to line up at Round 1 in Birmingham under the lights, do my best and put in some solid results.”

John Slade – AX Supermini Class: “My favourite time of year, Arenacross! I’m really excited to be racing the 2027 Arenacross World Tour this season. Arenacross UK has played a big part in my development as a rider, helping me build skills and experience for the future. To be part of the Cult JPR team, with the backing of KTM UK, is something I’m really proud of. A massive thank you to everyone involved for giving me this opportunity. I can’t wait to get behind the gate!”
