Official: Alexander Brown to make a return to racing

Alexander Brown is a blast from the past for many motocross fans. The talented Scottish rider once lined up in the British Championship and made his way through the EMX ranks before eventually stepping away from racing.

Although he hung up his boots, Brown didn’t completely leave the sport. He remained a familiar face in the paddock, working as a mechanic in the Grand Prix paddock for several years, keeping close to the action at the highest level.

Now, after relocating to New Zealand, Brown has decided it’s time to get back behind the gate himself. He has announced that he’ll be returning to racing after agreeing a deal with LMC Husqvarna.

It marks a fresh chapter for the Scotsman that will see him racing on the other side of the world but the main thing will be to just have fun.

Brown posted the news via social media:

The news you’ve all been waiting for… IM BACK RACING DIRTBIKES. I can’t thank LMC Husqvarna Racing enough for giving me this amazing opportunity to ride a 250 2-stroke with them! Everyone close to me knows just how much this means — I’ve dreamed of racing again ever since my injuries in 2019.

I’ll be lining up for the full 2025/2026 Nationals series + selected races across New Zealand.

To every single person who’s supported me over the years — big or small — you’ve been part of this journey and I’m beyond grateful.

Now it’s time to get back behind the gate, enjoy every moment, and send it.
