It was the race of the year as privateer Isak Gifting passed Jeffrey Herlings and then Romain Febvre on the last lap in front of stark raving mad crowd who were going good bananas for their Swedish hero who looked set to take his first ever MXGP moto win – until he crashed with a few corners to go and had to DNF.
