Race results: EMX125 finale – Lommel

Race One: Bervoets led all the way as Faure followed him home for second but the big story was championship leader, Alvisi, who survived a terrible start and two crashes, to storm through the field to sixth. But he trails Faure by one point with one moto to go – it’s winner take all in the EMX125 title quest in the final moto of the year!

Race Two:  Ricardo Bauer took the win as Jarne Bervoets settled for fifth after a couple of crashes while in the battle up front, to win the oveall but the big story was the championship battle between Alvisi and Faure. And, as fate would have it, both riders didn’t have good starts with Faure getting caught up in turn one carnage. But, by lap two he and Alvisi were side by side as they battled for a the title coming through the field. But then disaster struck, as Faure trying to follow Alvisi past another rider, clipped the rider and went down forcing him to take even more risks.

He was giving it all he had with Alvisi still in sight about 4 positions ahead when he went down again trying to make a pass and that was all she wrote for the fast Frenchman and his title hopes. Alvisi continued his charge forward and eventually got to second as he clinched a hard-fought EMX125 title!
